Goat fights are a traditional custom in Val d’Aosta region, in the Italian alps. Here, since centuries, farmers meet to make their goats fight between each other. Initially started as an unofficial practice, this custom eventually became a more official event with rules and regional tournaments. The fights are completely non-violent ones, and following a tournament table, the goats challenge each others on the field until one of them decide to leave the match. When that happens the winning goat goes through the next round until the final match.
